JetPack - Surfin' To No DoubtThis is what Jetpack can do with purely vintage styles (not to mention extremely aggressive guitar playing) on their Surfin’ To No Doubt cover cd. I don’t know why they chose this as a group to cover but it is fun – even if you are not a No Doubt fan. Here you can have JetPack playing the heavy old-school surf sounds (with tons and tons of reverb). Even though the tunes are all covers it grows on you. I love it without knowing what any of the original songs are. You might too.

I read at the now gone "Surf 'N Garage" site an interview with Daniel of Jetpack. He said the record company that does those tributes contracted (as in paid) him to do that No Doubt CD. It is funny that they didn't do any more as it was supposed to be a series. I wonder if it was his decision not to or theirs. The CD is good!
I agree with you comments about the aggressive guitar playing. The whole band cranks it up a level on that CD, especially the drummer. Great stuff.
